When should you use the damage calculator?
Use it to check real damage ranges while changing SP allocation, nature, ability, item, weather, and field conditions on one screen.
Open calculation examples and reading order
Start by choosing attacker and defender.
Put the attacking Pokemon and four moves on one side, then set the defending Pokemon's type, nature, SP, and item on the other. Empty inputs keep the result area focused on what is missing.
Add modifiers one at a time.
Read the baseline damage first, then add conditions such as weather, field, rank stages, ability, and item. This makes it easier to understand which condition changed the matchup.
Read guaranteed ranges separately from rolls.
If minimum and maximum damage both pass the target HP, the KO is stable. If only some rolls pass, check residual damage and speed control before treating it as safe.
Examples
Load physical and special versions of the same Pokemon to see which move gives a more stable two-hit result.
Enter the opponent's main move and adjust HP or defensive SP until the roll range reaches the line you want.
Reading notes
- Record whether temporary conditions such as status, screens, and weather are active.
- When a KO is not guaranteed, check speed order and residual damage together.
- Saved presets stay in this browser and are not automatically synced to other devices.
